RD Field Glasses

Price: $45.00

RD Field Glasses.   Lightly used and in good condition.  Light weight binoculars great for hunting or hiking.

The RD binoculars are engineered with an open-bridge and dual-hinge, which reduce weight and provide more gripping surface area, without sacrificing strength or stability. To withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. Their lightweight aluminum alloy chassis is wrapped in a green rubber armor that not only protects it from impacts, but provides a slip-resistant grip. The combination of smaller objectives and bridge design results in a slim form-factor that weighs just 10 ounces, so they can comfortably fit in most packs or pockets.  Soft carrying case included.

  • 8x magnification
  • 26mm objective lenses
  • Compact roof prism
  • High-density BAK4 glass reduces internal light diffraction for improved clarity and contrast
  • Anti-reflection multi-coated optics improve light transmission, color, contrast, and brightness
  • 356′ field of view at 1000 yards

Sea Girt-3 Press

Price: $285.00

Yes, it is Girt- not grit.  See the photo taken in 1932 of the Sea Girt rifle range on the “About” page of the site.   Walnut Hill type dies are used with this press.   This press is the same as the stock press except that it has a top plate that is threaded 1.5″-12 and has the 7/8″-14 reducer bushing.  Some of older style top plates were found left from a run of presses made some years back.    Only a few are left.   Fine press for a beginner or as a companiion press to the Walnut Hill presses.

The Sea Girt-3 press has a shipping weight of 27 pounds compared to 29 pounds for the Walnut Hill-2 press.

Bore Gages

The next items are bore gages and setting fixtures for them. There are four gages covering diameters from .495″ up to 6.0″. The gages are in like new condition and complete with all of the parts that came with them.

I got these when doing parts on the vertical mill and needed a way to measure holes very accurately and without human error. There is simply nothing that will compare to the Sunnen bore gages. These are available separately or a special price is available for the set. I now have the parts made by a CNC shop and no longer need the gages. The photos were taken outside and clouds are reflected in the gage bezel.

.441" Lead Bullet Die

441 Lead Bullet Die

Price: $175.00

This is a lightly used die that makes a special lead bullet for 458 caliber rifles.   The die was custom ordered several years ago but never taken.  I’ve used it some to make paper patched bullets for rifles that I had.  The die makes a 350 gr. to 600 gr. ready to patch bullet with each press stroke.  It is a combination die that combines the core swage function with the point form die.  Excess lead is bled off as the bullet is swaged.  Pure lead is best used.  The bullet has a straight bearing that is .441″ and is better suited to rifles that have a bit smaller bore diameter.   There is a small angle that joins the ogive to the bearing making the bullet a dual diameter (aka bore rider) style.  Felt tip pen mark is the beginning of the ogive.  Best used in used in a rifle that is not throated.  A flat base and cup base can be made.  The cup base punch is not shown in the photo.
